Before you start
In order to inter or scatter ashes on a grave, you either need to be the owner of the burial plot or have the owner's permission.
At New Romney and Lydd cemeteries, you can reserve grave plots used exclusively for the interment of ashes.
How much it costs
Notice of interment
When it comes to a future use of your grave space, you'll need to complete the relevant notice of interment form below, including your Certificate for Disposal of Ashes provided by the crematorium. It must arrive a minimum of three working days before the interment.
