Received a Council Tax Notice?

I have received a reminder notice

Payments must be made by the date shown on your bill. If you do not pay by this date your account will be in arrears and you may receive a reminder notice

Why have I received a reminder notice?

A reminder notice has been issued because you have not paid the instalments due on or before the due date shown on your Council Tax bill. Your account is therefore in arrears and we are required to issue you a reminder notice.  The notice will show the amount to be paid within 10 days which is the outstanding instalment(s) and any instalment which is due to be paid within the next 7 days.

You must pay the arrears due within 10 days of the notice being issued or you lose the legal entitlement to pay by instalments meaning you must pay the full balance due for the year and if you do not a summons may be issued which will incur costs.

What should I do now?

If you want to pay the arrears on the notice, or pay in full you can now. You should then continue to make payment on or before the due dates as shown on your bill.

Make a payment

If you can't pay the amount on the notice this process will allow you to make an alternative offer of payment and tell us any reasons why you are unable to pay

You have the option to make 12 monthly payments each year instead of 10.  You may also alter the monthly due date of your instalments with the available dates being the 1st, 8th, 16th and 26th.  You can also change the frequency of your instalments frequency of payments frequency.
