Parks, beaches and open spaces COVID-19 restrictions

Parks, beaches and open spaces

You can still go to a park for outdoor exercise once a day but only alone or with members of your household, not in groups.

Communal places within parks such as sports courts, playgrounds and outdoor gyms have been closed to protect everyone's health.

We ask that households use parks responsibly and keep 2 metres apart from others at all times.

Enclosed spaces in Council parks, including play areas, have been locked where possible and notices advising people not to enter or use equipment have been put up.

Please remember the Government's restrictions regarding gatherings of two or more people (excluding people who live together) and social distancing.

In line with new national guidance we have reopened all our parks, but playgrounds and equipment remain closed to help #StopTheSpread

Holiday Parks

Holiday parks have been requested to close but there is government guidance enabling some people to remain in exceptional circumstances. You can find more information here  www.gov.uk/guidance/covid-19-advice-for-accommodation-providers
