To help foster music we've developed a busker's code of practice for Folkestone.
This type of code of practice - used by many London boroughs - is applicable to both buskers and street entertainers.
Folkestone is the world's first Music Town having formally recognised the positive power of music. Busking is a great way for musicians to develop and is something that is actively encouraged.
We've created some guidelines that might make your experience even better. Our code outlines what's acceptable and what's not for both the performer and the audience member. This complements the existing PSPO measure around noise abatement brought in earlier in the year.
