Residents looking to dispose of their grass cuttings, leaves and perished flowers can now apply for or renew the garden waste service.

Signups for fortnightly household collections are now open. To receive the service from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025 residents will pay £60, with a one-off £37.20 charge for their bin.

Cllr Jeremy Speakman, Cabinet member for Assets and Operations said: “This service is essential for budding gardeners, as well as those just wanting to keep their lawn nice and tidy.

“Waste collected goes towards compost for local fields so it’s a great way to reuse unwanted greenery – plus saves you a trip to the tip!”

Assisted collections are available for those who need it.
