Planning applications that are more complex or controversial can be referred to our Planning and Licensing Committee. Also any district Councillor can ask for an application to be considered by the committee
The committee usually meets once a month in the Council Chamber at the Civic Centre. However, given the current situation with COVID-19, all meetings for the foreseeable future are to be held remotely, using Zoom, and will be streamed live to YouTube.

You can view the agenda and details of planning applications being considered five working days before the meeting.
Committee meetings are open to the public. You don't need to register in advance unless you want to speak and have your views taken into account.
If you commented (known as 'making a representation') on a planning application we'll let you know if and when the application is going to be decided by the committee.
If you want toyou need to apply in writing in advance. You will be sent a form when we notify you of the committee date. Please do not apply before then as, in the interests of fairness, we only accept requests to speak once the
