Purple sacks are delivered to properties that are unable to store a refuse bin off the highway or have access issues preventing them from moving the wheelie bin to the designated collection point.
If your property does not have room to store a household waste (refuse) wheelie bin off the highway then you may be eligible to receive purple sacks to dispose of your household waste on your designated collection day. The sacks are delivered every 3 months and 2 rolls will be delivered to eligible properties.
Purple sacks are delivered to eligible properties so residents can dispose of their refuse waste on collection day.
If you do have off-road storage capability for a refuse bin (could be a driveway or back garden that has access to a collection point via an alleyway) then you will not be eligible for purple sacks. This will be checked by the Waste Team before providing purple sacks to the property.
If you currently receive purple sacks via the waste crew and you require some more then complete the form with the reasons as to why you require more.
Purple sacks are not for sale and therefore cannot be purchased.
What you need to do

- confirm your eligibility for purple sacks, or
- if you currently receive purple sacks but require more, tell us the reason as to why you need more sacks

What happens next
On submission of the form it will be passed to the Waste Team to consider the request and you will be contacted within 10 working days to advise further.
