The council needs to develop proposals annually regarding its forthcoming budget setting process as well as outlining a timetable as to how the budget and council tax levels will be set for the coming financial year.
Every year we produce a Budget Strategy which is then considered by the Overview and Scrutiny Committee and Cabinet.
The Budget Strategy builds on the Medium Term Financial Strategy (PDF,305.75KB) and starts to shape how the council will respond to the financial pressures it faces in the coming financial year.
