Hawkinge Cemetery
Graves can be purchased for immediate use or reserved in advance of need. Each grave can be used for up to 3 full burials and after the last burial for the interment of 4 cremated remains (depending on the depth dug, size of coffin or ashes casket). These graves cannot be purchased for ashes interments only.
How it works
When a burial plot is purchased, a Deed of Grant is issued. The registered grave owner is recorded and has exclusive burial and memorial rights for 100 years. This document should be kept safely as it will be required to demonstrate ownership upon any future use of the grave
